In Esoterika, the story unfolds in a modern world infused with touches of medieval fantasy. You play as a farmer in your late 20s, living a quiet life in the countryside after inheriting your family farm. One fateful night, you discover an unconscious girl in armor on your land. She is Celes, a knight claiming to be from another world, with no knowledge of this one and nowhere to turn. You offer her shelter, and as time passes, you grow close, forming a deep emotional bond.
However, farming isn't a thriving business today, and you're longing for a change. You dream of moving to the city, pursuing a new career, and showing Celes a world far beyond your secluded farm, filled with opportunity and corruption. Together, it would be best if you navigated these challenges, facing the allure of temptation in a place much different from the life you once knew.
